Case By Boardsource

The Mark: 65 is a no-compromise 65% keyboard designed and produced by Boardsource. The keyboard is constructed from 3 separate pieces, each coming together to form a sandwich case with a gasket mounted plate. The fully assembled SMT PCB included in all of The Mark: 65’s kits is hot swap compatible allowing you to easily change out your switches as your tastes change or new switches are released. The PCB is also highly customizable, offering ISO/ANSI layouts with split shift, split space, and split backspace, all while maintaining hot swap compatibility. The back of The Mark: 65’s PCB features individually addressable and programmable RGB LEDs diffused by clear frosted polycarbonate allowing beautiful light to pass through. When the RGB lighting is turned on, the interlocking design of the separate pieces ensure no light escapes from any seam. All components come together to create a beautiful, minimal, and feature-rich product offered at a competitive $250 (USD) price point.

Base kits for The Mark: 65 include an anodized aluminum top and bottom (front) piece in silver, grey, or black, and a flat rear portion made from machined (clear) frosted polycarbonate. An aluminum plate of your color choice is included in the base kits that is compatible with any PCB configuration. The base kit is also available in a Full Frosted Polycarbonate Case variant, allowing even more diffused RGB to be visible from the bottom half. If RGB isn’t your thing, the polycarbonate version offers a unique view into the inner components of the keyboard. If you prefer your keyboard to have an angle, The Mark: 65’s lower rear PC portion may be replaced with a larger variant lifting the back of the board and resulting in a 5° tilted keyboard.

The Mark: 65 is an unlimited GB and will remain open and available until October 27th, 2020.

    Extra Notes/Disclaimers:

    • Ship date to US customers is expected to happen before mid-December (2020); however, if any delays occur it is possible that we will decide to ship after Christmas to not risk delays or loss of packages due to USPS being so overburdened during the holidays.
    • We will likely ship proxy orders directly after the holidays unless we can ship early enough to ensure that there are no loss or delays due to the holiday season. Even though it means a longer wait, we feel it is likely best and safest to wait until after the holidays so ship such important and expensive items overseas.
    • Because the Space Grey is a custom anodization color and the pieces of The Mark: 65's case are different sizes (top vs. lower front) it means the pieces must be manually color matched. As a result, it is possible that there are slight color differentiations between pieces, this can also occur in certain lighting conditions because the Space Grey is a very dynamic color. In other words, the color can look light in direct light, and rather dark in shadows or indirect light. The photos depict this very well.
    • NOTE ON FULL PC: The product photos show a single contiguous bottom piece for the Full PC case option whereas the aluminum cases have two pieces that make their bottom. Like the aluminum units, the Full PC production units will have TWO bottom pieces, NOT one. This is done in an effort to ensure all pieces across all marks are compatible and interchangeable down the line. Many people requested the ability to change out the pieces across materials with ease and this was the best way to achieve it.
    • Remember, the optional 5° piece that may be purchased replaces the 0° option in your kit. If you elect to purchase the 5° piece, you will not recieve the flat/0° piece, though it may be purchased separately down the line if you wish to have both. This is done in an effort to make the GB as easy to fullfil and order for all vendors involved, and to keep the optional additional price low.
    • A small amount of minor interior imperfections is considered A-Stock, but A-Stock will not include any exterior blemishes or imperfections. Any unit with any exterior blemishes will be considered B-Stock/Blem Units and will not be delivered to GB participants or Proxies.
